![]() I have a couple of these loose tops that are slightly see though so I put a tank top under and it's great for the summer. I do the skirt option a lot under them in the summer. A Japanese designer I like that sells here locally and online is "Nanako clothes" The long tops or dresses work well when worn with tights, tighter jeans or with skirts. I got a couple of pieces from Japan or Hawaii, which is harder to get. The looser things are much better for this heat. I can't wear fitted things a lot because of heath issues (rib pain, hiding joint supporting braces) so this style works wonderfully for me. I wear rather Japanese style things that are mori-like, including several things from Muji, and I'm from NYC where it has been in mid to upper 30's (C) with high humidity all summer. This album is a mix of mori & natural kei + coords that are on the edge of classic lolita, and look more put toghether. The outfits I currently wear that are under the Mori Kei style are completely thrifted (besides shoes). In this style you can use a lot of cutesy elements like vintage lacey- blouses,a or latered skirts with a petticoat. I discovered this style through lolita, I absolutely love classic lolita, but my style has changed a lot towards 'natural' clothing. ![]() It works more with grey, dark green/blue and black layers.įor me this style is perfect, since I live in a country where the weather can be tricky. There's also a substyle called "Dark kei" or as I'd like to call it "Forest Ninja", which I've added to the album. Brigt colors can be added in the shape of accesoires like flowers for example. The style consists of a lot of laying, natural colors (green, light pink, beige) and loose fitting clothing. This style is actually more common than I thought, but not everyone calls it Mori Kei, it also falls a bit under the bohemian, lolita or hippie category. For me personally it's just the clothes I'd like to wear! Mori Kei translates to forest girl, it originates from Japan, and is a very fairy-esque way of dressing.
